Wheel corrosion !
Hi all mk2.2 with DID wheels, upon fitting new tyres (new Grittys!) i noticed severe corriosion and flaking inside the rims, is this common?
I guess the wheels are shafted? not short term but i presume they will disentegrate through to the outerside of the rim some day.......
what are the options regards replacements? what fits?
bike should be ready to go when plastics are resprayed this week, one of the benefits of working at a college that has a sprayshop ....! all plastics and tank done for £20!

Have some corrosion on the inside of my rims, 
Spoke to a machanic at Leisure Trail and he sprayed chain loob on to the inside of the rims. 
He said that this will stop the corrossion from going any further 
- but I would guess it will best be done on every tyre change . Cheaper than replacing the wheels though.
