Heated grips
Heated grips
I know this subject has been talked about before but just wandered if anyone has tried the "Oxford Hot Grips Light" The Light means they only draw 3A (this equates to about 36W) instead of the standard 4A.
I was considering running them of the supply for the head lights, does anyone know of any problems this might cause, apart from not having a headlight!.

It will be interesting what amps the bike produces at idle.............without a battery to assist at low rpm does it develop enough amps.

the std headlight needs all the help it can get so unless you dont need it i wouldnt rob any power out of it
Im thinking about a bike with more valves than a powervalve

cant you swop a LED bulb into the headlight? will pull much less power out right?
you could put some daylight running LED on.. I took my indicators off and run them off the front (always on) indicators.
I'm interested in these grps too - but was thinking more for the wife's TW200...

There are gloves that have a heater element in them, run of their own battery pack.

I bought a set, well, tell a lie, I had set as my choice of an Xmas prezzie, but, they are so insulated I have yet to turn them on when riding.I bought a load of those Palo cell 1.5 v rechargeable batteries to run in them[ about £5 of eblag].
Generally, I only wear such gloves to get to the first lane, then the work rate ups enough to get the circulation to do the task.

Thanks all for the advice.
I'll give the grips a go, can't do any harm i suppose, but i guess what Mike said will probably happen to me and i won't need them once i get on the trail.
