Starting out, (yet) again

Post by gjm »

Hi folks,

I have no CRM250 at present although have been looking for a few weeks. Obviously something local (I'm near Norwich) would be great but experience tells me that very little of anything I want comes up for sale around here!

But why a CRM when I live in the flatlands? To be fair, I was looking for a supermoto-style thing to use for commuting 8 miles each way to work. Something fun, and something that will appease my impatience at sitting in a traffic jam waiting for Mrs 2.4 children to realise a roundabout is empty, or that the lights have changed colour. Several times.

I've looked at Hondas XRs but there is something missing. I've ridden a 400 and a 650 and they are great bikes, but... I've not had a 2-stroke for about 20 years so perhaps that is what I need?

Anyway, I've had a browse through some of the forums and promise to do so again before asking questions!

Cheers,
Graham

:D Hi Graham, I hope your search is fruitful.
Buy on the condition of the bike rather than getting to hung up on the MK, If you have done some reading you will be aware of the items that require the most scrutiny when going to look.
They do come up frequently, so don't rush to buy the first one that happens along.

Thanks Mike.

As with any vehicle, condition is everything! Age, mileage, and even history can be unimportant.

The only hurry is a financial one. Car insurance is due next month, and rather than cough up a fortune for that I'm considering a bike. Again. :)
