*update*

iv just taken off the barrel and found the piston completely free! it still wont kick over and i put it in gear and it still wont turn the engine when i push the bike....

the gearbox seems to move from 1st to neutral easily, so does this mean a bottom end seize??

It is very likely that the bottom end is seized but it might be in the gearbox.

It will need a complete strip down to find out exactly what has happened :cry: .

hi all,

i now have the engine out, all seems ok except the conrod is seized on the crankshaft end... thought it might be an idea to check in here and see if anyone has any pointers on going further, its been a while since iv had an crankcase split!

ok yes iv heard of seg. so are they gonna supply parts for me to do the work or do i just send them the whole engine??

take the crank to them and let them sort it
