Bar raisers

Was out today and found that i was struggling with the handlebars being too low, whats the best method, bar raisers or enduro bars which are a couple inches higher. Trouble with bar raisers is the local bike shop only does them for fat bars and i have standard size ones

just put a set of renthal hi rise bars on mine with no problems involving tight cables as i was told there would be,tom

Ditto Slider.
Renthal Dakar high bars approx £33 mine fitted with no problems with cables.
Loosen the clamp, slide the bars to allow the clutch to slide off, then slide back for the throttle and brake.
Your biggest problem will be getting the LH grip off the bars. I've been lucky in that the two bikes I have done the grip has not been properly stuck. I've therefore been able to glue it to the new bars with some pro taper glue. This glue is fantastic. not only does it stick grips to handle bars but it practically sticks anything to anything so you have been warned

Can get bar risers from racespec.co.uk that fit 7/8 bars. But better to go taller bars route IMHO

Couldnt find any 2nd hand raisers. I saw a nice set of renthal enduro bars at the bike shop today that are alot higher up than mine and slightly wider so ive got them, will fit them tomorrow after my roast.

Just fitted them sober, nice bars and a fair bit higher.
Only problem is the clutch cable is marginally too short and i cant have the clutch lever in the same position it used to be

run my cable through the cable loop near the head stock on the frame then down the back of the l/hand rad and its fine try that tom.

So does that mean you dont run yours down through the headstock atall? I Have had a play around, freed up some slack and its only a cm off its old position now which i can live with

it runs from the lever around the l/h fork leg then alongside the headstock then down behind the lhs rad.unless your cable is not meant for a crm you should be able to do the same mate,that said i do have my levers pointed down quite a bit
