I am new to this forum and relatively new to motto riding. One of my co workers convinced me to buy a CRM 250AR and to ride with them each Sunday , in and around Phnom Penh. That was 14 months ago, was the first time I had ridden since I was 15 years old, back in the late 60's. long story short, caught the bug, and cannot wait for Sundays to roll around again.
I had a altercation with a big black Lexus mid Dec and have been nursing collar bone and ribs. Whilst waiting for the healing process to take place, decided to strip bike down and rebuild, only to find the con-rod needs replacing.
This is how I found this forum.
I am waiting on confirmation of availability of parts using non CRM conrod, out of Australia, as i will be back there end of this month. Getting parts into Cambodia is a nightmare. Better to bring in luggage.

Very jealous as I love Siem Reap, been a few times and really want to bike down from PP to the coast. Its on the list of 'things to do'. Unfortunately, can't bring the lovely CRM as expats can't actually 'own' vehicles here.
Yes parts can be a problem. My local mechanic can actually pick up bits here or from Singapore- he managed to get me a new water pump in 3 days (for a price!). Otherwise, its just a case of bringing it back from the UK, or paying the piper and getting it FEDEXd over. Also Thailand does seem to have a few CRM parts around.
