I'm not sure. I have a small one fitted and when I went for my MOT a couple of weeks ago
the fella in the garage refused to put it through it's MOT because of the plate -
he said it was too small and 'they' have clamped down on it now. I told him to stop being
such a pussy but he wasent having any of it and refused to pass it, luckily I new a fella at
the same garage who said he would run it through for me as a favour.
the big plates look ridiculous attatched to the back. They look like a billboard.

Hi,
I think the slider approach is best! keep the legal 'billboard' for MOT days and theres plenty of 'show' plates available on Ebay...any size, any style..even a slogan on the bottom..maybe
'My other plate is legal' ??

I agree, I have a comedy large plate for the MOT and got a really good 'show plate' from a company off ebay. That the MOT guy now says he would pass with.

.
If you do a search on ebay under enduro show plate, I found a
flexible shatter proof one that they will do in any size you want..... nice.
It has even had loads of abuse on the lanes, and is still in one piece.
Cheers

I have has several small plates made over the years from local sign makers. As they are sold as show plates only (like those on ebay) they will make anthing you like. Like many of you my plate on the CRM has broken countless times so i had a plate made from extra tough plastic didnt cost any more and they guy told me that the back mudguard would break before the plate did. Just something you chaps may consider when getting a new one.
The DVLA are cracking down on small plates though, i actually received a letter from them informing me that my bike had been seen diplaying an incorect plate and they wanted to know where I got it. whats that all about, have they got nothing better to do. As if would tell them!!!!
