Hi,
Does anyone know any good places to ride in good old Hampshire.
I know most of the green lanes in this area thanks to TRF, but I am always looking for new ones/farms.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Regards

Theres Kens farm (brick farm?) near four marks, I should be able to find the map reference if you need it.

What's the protocol with Ken's farm? Four marks is just down the road from me - know a lot of offroading is done in the woods near telegraph lane, not so sure how legal it is if at all though. Should probably join the TRF, unless some kind soul felt like filling me in on my local green lanes.. ahem!

I rode there , just the once mind, the format seems to be a glorified free for all , that may see you encounter a 4 x 4 heading towards you as you round any given corner .There were some jumps of indeterminate design ,again ridden in any direction you so fancied

.
I now stick to recognised R.O.W. or competitive outings .
I am fairly sure Hamps has a downloadable list of legal Byways .if you phone their R.o.w. department you can obtain details .
You are also very close the trail bike heaven that is Wiltshire with it's 350 MILES + of legal byways , get some maps and head of out that way , for a fantastic day out .
Regards Mike

There used to be a track next to the sewage works in Reading (south side). Almost behind the Gillette site. Also had a gocart track.
Raced there once with the TBEC. Dented the tank with my chin on what I though was a table top but wasn't.

Hi Steve
That would have been the Andy Nicholls track, that closed after fatality a couple of years ago , which was a great shame in more ways than one .
Andy was a great teacher , who having done everything on a bike , was able to empathise with all your concerns and show how to avoid and more importantly , recover from terra firma bound landings or face plants

, i once witnessed him pull a big double jump dressed in no more than shorts and a pair of trainers , on an 80cc kids bike

, where have all the legends gone ?, Stuart Coyle , Willie Simpson , riding a 500cc honda 2T on a supercross track !!!! Greg Hanson , the only guy to beat Thorpey in the domestic championship in 1986 IN Cornwall when Thorpey was at the top of his game. He drove from High Wycombe with the bike in a pick up, rode in three 30 min races then drove all the way home again !!. Tough guys them old uns .
