My wiring looks like this.........

The wiring diagram looks like this.........

Anybody shed any light where the 2 relays (circled) are supposed to be?

Anybody shed any light on the purpose of the clutch switch (also circled)?

Ta.

Not sure about the relays - maybe behind the headlamp fairing (all kinds of stuff crammed in there... )
Re the clutch switch - on bikes i've had in the past I think that the clutch switch activating cuts the engine if you try pulling away with the side stand down (if the side stand switch is hooked up :D ) however trying to 'prove' that on an AR wiring diagram is impossible... Anyone else know for sure?

I'm 90% sure they are both located up inside the headlight cowel somewhere.
The left relay (i think) should have all turqouise colour wires leading to it on the plug.

:? No sorry, can't help much either. Mine runs without the side stand switch fitted :D .The only thing i have learnt is that the wiring is best served with a severe good leaving alone ,if possible.

A mate of mine advises to "check your tyre pressures" if you've an electrical problem - cos you've got sod all chance of finding out the real cause of electrical gremlins :D

seriously - if your wirings been messed with and you are serious about getting it back to standard it can take a good bit of time and effort but the best approach is to strip the bike (panels, headlight cowl etc) so you have access to everything and go through it component by component, plug by plug comparing to the wiring diagram and checking off items as you heck them. (If you have an AR loom? (I think you said that your electrics were AR) then while your at it you could complete the colour wiring diagram that Scrubs started :) ))
Or if you have cash  look up an autoelectrician in Yellow Pages that does bikes as well...

theres a 8 or 9 page supplement to the LT manual for the AR which includes the wiring diagram - contact LT or someone else on here and they should be able to sort you out a copy - I'd mail you it but I live in Uganda - for now here is a (readable :D ) wiring diagram.

Looking at mine, one is behind the headlamp cowl and there is another attatched to the frame behind the right hand rad.

The 3 behind the headlight cowl will be;

1. Oil & temp warning LED relay with a 3 wire connector and a 4 wire connector.
2. Indicator relay with 7 wire connector.
3. Other relay (function???) with 4 wire connector.

Not that my CRM has these 3 relays..............

The one behind the rad connects to the ignition switch........not that my CRM has an ignition switch............
