Yeah she starts up first kick, rode it up to the mot station, failed :( didn't realise the rear wheel was off road only, I checked over it for markings and the only thing that I found that I didn't understand was it said NHS, which turns out to be 'not highway suitable' bit of a poo, got some new tyres on the way, and also I turned out the headlight is wired backward, dipped on main switch, main n dipped switch lol. Should be back for retest next week. I also don't think the power valve is working, need to check that.

So it turns out the powervalve isn't working, great! It'll either be the servo or the PCM, not got time to investigate today, but just on a side note, anyone know if it'll be a major issue if I decide to prop it open permanently?

sorry mammoth got your bike confused with someone else's mk2 , you should have a blue seat with those plastics not that it matters .
If your biggest MOT prob's were the wrong rear tyre & backwards headlight you've done well :)

Lots of posts in technical about wacking open the PV permanently, if the servo isn't working- have a search...

When I get a chance I'll have a proper look at where the issue is coming from, it doesn't seem so bad though, if its the servo I'll get a new one, if it turns out to be the PCM I'll send it off to 2strokelab. If that turns out to be a dead loss, I'll get one of those re-programmable jobbies!
I wouldn't be surprised if it was down to faulty wiring, the harness is a bloody mess! I'm surprised I even get a spark with the amount of times it's been chopped, I'll never understand why people do that. In all the time I've been riding, I've never had the need or desire to grab a handful of wires and cut them. It looks like pretty much everything has been re-connected at least once, and there's some pretty interesting soldering that's been done on the plug that goes into the PCM.. Watch this space, I'll get it through the MOT first things first, I'll probably just prop the powervalve open for the time being.
