on ebay theres a contraption that you add on to your clutch cable to make it lighter when pulling thus reducing the arm pump

ahh ok I think I get u - putting a shim to change the angle of the lever...

I was thinking about a longer lever on the clutch and moving the (pivot? / perch?) further towards center of bars. would get more leverage then?

its very tiring on the left hand doing a lot of slow maneuvers,, I was basically doing full lock figure 8s on a dirt bank just to nail my balance and control

- after a few minutes my hand was on full lock.!!!!

still havent bought pads - if I'm after sintered then only seeing "gold" on ebay?

if I drop the sintered requirement then a million choices!

Your clutch level looks shorter than your brake lever (or is it the picture angle?). Maybe you have heavy springs on your clutch plates too, or your cable is snagging- hence the heavy pull?? This isn't good if you are going on a long or technical ride- I have found my clutch is really quite light, but I have long levers that actually touch the hand-protectors and the biting point wound out to just before fully out. I can almost use it as a 'crash' gearbox for short-shifting with one finger, with hardly pulling the clutch lever at all- 4 hours yesterday on the trail in 35 degrees and no ill effects (apart from a ripped thumb and a tumble from losing the front). And yes, the front brake is annoyingly vague; just not as good as it needs to be. However, kept up with the YZF's, CRF's and WR's- they were impressed with the CRM and jealous at how easily she started every time we stopped for a break, whilst they were sweating over a hot kickstarter!! Taking her to an MX track next week- yee haaa !!-The CRM loves to jump!!

White is great, but a bugger to keep clean.. Didn't bother with decals- I think she looks nicer naked!
She ran beautifully yesterday on a really technical trail with some fast local lads and only sipped 2/3 a tank of petrol in 4 hours. Kept up (and even overtook) some shocked 250/450 thumper pilots. But I did envy the 4 stroke boys- 2 strokes are so tricky in soft sand tracks- they are either 'on' or 'off' the power and it got quite tiring...not to mention my spectacular 'over the front' fall when I got into a massive tank slap. Bike was fine. Feel a bit bruised today and made a mess of my gps mount.... bugger!

Yeah- never seen that clutch gizmo before. Imagine it must just be a force-magnifying lever inside?? Just wondering if your cable may just need replaced/oiled?

Replace the cable before you buy the gadget.

the ultimate power looks interesting..

anyways dropped bike ( again!! ) and strangly the end of the brake lever snapped off! ( not sure how - cos the hand guards should have saved it? )

so I guess I will get a new set of levers tomorrow..

so I will oil clutch cable and see how that goes..

also I am a muppet - its the rear thats got the braided hose - not the front! \

so I guess I will have to do that..

( anyone know off hand how long the hoses I need to buy should be? )

gawdamit!

bought new lever for brakes - wasnt sure it'd fit so just got one..

yes - it improves things! had more "feel"

( its obvious I'm the owner of the worlds firmest grip now ) had to move the perch over a bit too - so got more leverage?

2 hours later - stall bike doing figure of 8s on a concrete slope...

yep - u guessed it. snapped new lever after just 2 hours?!

is that a record..

mind u they werent too expensive - HK$ 120 each ( 9 pounds 85! )
but still BOLLOX!!!! :|

( hand guard incorrectly positioned after previous "smashes"? )
