Just thought I'd introduce. Had a soft spot for the crm for a few years. Previous trail bikes include exc 300 ccm 604e xr400 and husky te450. I'm hoping the crm will be more manageable than the exc i had and a damp sight lighter than the ccm and xr400.

it's a syndrome of a defunct production model, and a diminishing amounts of usable examples still out there.
I wondered, and mooted that perhaps the forum should be opened up, or run in conjunction with other limited number MK's, perhaps XR's ? what ever,ti's a shame none the less.
Oh P.S. welcome in any case.
The A.R., will be lighter, but perhaps not as light as you might expect.
Check the swinging arm bolt for rotation, and side to side sliding, there known to seize in position.
PGMs are the A.R. Achilles heal.
Good luck.

Yup Mine has been a love/hate relationship but I have had it nearly 3 years and have no intention of getting rid.
Enjoy collecting parts "just in case" I have a whole spare engine and a couple of barrels/heads for no reason other than they are rare as hens teeth.
