bloody marvelous init ! i was amazed when it cured mine but at least i didnt do the balance shaft first :lol: i wonder how many people have????????????????

yeah my rubber(ooh! young man!) was well past it, so i had an idea that was wot was wong. shame it had already started eating ally. :|

Sorry to all for bringing this subject up again!
I’ve just replaced my chain & sprockets and the strange noise/rattle has GONE!!?? :) i suspect its because the new chain is 'stiffer' and doesn't have as much 'slap' like the old knackered one? Probably confirming that it is either the chain rubber guide,? shagged chain? or a combination of both??.
