Revamping my CRM
Revamping my CRM
Poor old girls been faithful for so many years, the last guise she took was the 89 engine into a 93 CR frame, completed the build about six years ago and then broke my femur on my 01 CR250 :( since she's just been thrashed without being serviced and things are starting to get shabby, even made a crutch holder while I could'nt walk without, in a subtle way she's telling me she needs a break, so I'm gonna give a full makeover.... watch this space...

Incidently, anyone needing advice on putting the CRM motor in a CR frame let me know (welding mounts required)

I thought the big floods had been in Bangkok??
Good example though of how much of a kicking a CRM can handle, and still keep trekking along.
ACF fluid is good on exposed items that are likely to suffer from rust.

Re: Revamping my CRM
Thanks for all the info badcat- like the sound of 'unopened engines' (pleural!!)... my old girl is an ongoing project, but due the difficulty of getting any parts here, it slows things down considerably. She is a doddery old lady and I'm really concerned about taking her out into the wilds and conking out big time- it will put her out of service for months!! I actually prefer rebuilding bikes than riding them quite often!....
