Updates - 2017
Hello everyone, i am planning on some pretty major updates to the board and bring it up a couple of versions.
changes that are obvious will be the skin it uses.
We may have to revert to the standard PHPBB skin for a while, however more importantly will be the downtime.
I am warning you all now to expect interruption of service and times of limited or no access to the board while i upgrade components like PHP and the back end database before even starting to look at the board.
Backup will of course be taken before any changes are made.
Wish me luck

Re: Updates - 2017
Ok so you may have noticed it all looks a bit different.
I have updated the board, updated the PHP version, updated MySQL and moved the site to another new server to allow a graceful decom of the old.
I have had to remove some of the modifications from the old board, and of course the custom skin / theme
I appreciate this means little to most - but to summarise
I have just put in a new piston, rings, small end, gaskets, fresh coolant, gear oil change and i am not doing a few heat cycles and some running in before i put its clothes back on
Does that make sense ?
There are a few mods added too like a simple shout out feature, by typing a @ and the start of the users forum name they will be notified of the post.
Give it a go.

Re: Updates - 2017
Well a couple more updates
The theme seems to work well, loads quickly on a mobile and more importantly doesn't go tits up on a small screen.
There is now a "like" feature which i hope you will enjoy using.
Lets see how this goes for a bit, but feedback is welcome
