hi mate,
it sounds like it could be over heating
have you checked its cooling ok, check the water level and check the stats opening. ..... if no joy check the carbs not blocked as a lean mixture can make it over heat , also check you have the correct spark plug..

iv read about what Ballistic said
. the oil pump, someones got pics on the net .you wanna get it sorted though as your petrol to oil mix could be on the lean side. not sure what it could do to your clutch, but it does make the gears ect a nice red colour.

And as to that Oil Cap!! you do really need ...

servo motor pot

has anyone fixed there servo motor,mine has just started to play up, stripped it down and found the pot to be at fault, the middle pin is loose, so some times it works some times it dont,
the pot says 5k iv looked at maplins but can only fine 4k7. .
does any one know if this will be ok or is it to ...

hi ed,
just had my crank bearings go, started to make a wining nosie and just as the previous post said about give the rotor a shake i did and found movment, you should also feel it vibrating though your seat.
as to the cost iv spent £200 so far with LT. however around £90 of this was on the water ...

hi bargos,
im still getting cream on my cap, (sorry if that sounds rude).i cant see it being a crank seal, or gasket, as i have full power.
the oil is getting a better colour with ever change.

thanks for the replys fellas,
its given something to think about,
iv been using silkolean light gear oil, recomended by my local bike shop.
the oil looks more like burn engine oil, but iv havnt lost any gear oil,
the water levels ok although im still getting the odd bit of white foam on the cap ...

every time i change my gear oil iv noticed its black and i dont feel this is right,

sorry to hear your still having hassle mate,
and looking back it looks like youv tride alsorts, have you tride swapping the condencer, im not sure of the relationship it has with the cdi,but when iv had bikes with points ,if the condencers was stuffed the bike was really erattic or not start at all ...

slight correction to the condencer mate it absorbed charge in between the points to stop arking ,as the coil works a bit like when you start a floresent light ,it releases a high voltage when the power is cut, ie when the points open,
although we no longer have points, the theory is the same ...

the carbs always worth alook,give it a good clean, prone to collecting dirt,also have you changed the plug, and check the stop switch as they are known to fail. also a compression test would be an idear.
a condenser absorbes charge in between sparks to prevent arking well it did in the days of ...

iv had this sort of problem before but mine turned out to be the spring loaded cable going into the pv houseing.
so before you go spending all your money check the following .
