The rear caliper is a \"floater\".....and should slide on the pins easily, if the pads are worn unevenly, then the pins/bushes need cleaning and some good quality high temp/water proof grease, behind the rubber seals.

CRM's great fun....even thinking of selling the Ducati, as it hardly ever gets ...

Thanks Timo,

Have had the carb 'serviced' at LT....new jets/cleaned the E tube/float height/seal kit/air line blow through.
The PV is working OK....i've also disconnected the PV cables and wedged the PV fully open with a small stick (counter clockwise) and the problem is still there.
I have cleaned ...

Electrical testing ;->

Always a bit of a subject here, on CRM250. I have devised a simple test set-up for the electrical system....on my MK3.

AC generator test: Disconnect the two pin connector under the seat. Make up a new 'female' connector that clips into the wiring loom and connect to a spare 12v bike battery ...

Yep....a service kit is easy to install, but most kits are O rings and gaskets only. Sounds like it needs a float needle valve and a good clean. Possibly flush the tank out while you are at it ??.

Lights HID's

Thinking of converting my front headlight to a HID system (High Intensity Discharge). I have bought a set for my mountain bike......and the light is brighter on the bike, than my Audi A3 T Sport !!!.

Has anyone used / wired a HID system into a battery less wiring loom ?.

The PV arm should rotate anti-clockwise.....if you take the pipe off and look up the exhaust port, the PV is easily visible. When the marks are lined up on the arm & casing, the PV is fully open...blocking a percentage of the port. When the PV is fully rotated anti-clockwise, the PV is fully shut ...

Disconnect the PV cables and the PV moves freely......

Should the PV arm move anti-clockwise, when the revs rise (from the left, looking at the PV arm) ?.

I'll wip the pipe off and check the point at which the PV is fully open and mark it on the casing/PV arm.
