Re: CRM mk2 stolen in Brighton
HAS NOW BEEN RECOVERED!
bunch of kids had it hidden it their 'hideout' out the back of a local church. only damage was that they'd pulled some wires about.

CRM mk2 stolen in Brighton
Hi All,
I'm sad to say that my CRM has been stolen from the 'secure' underground parking underneath the flats where I live, it was stolen on Thursday (13th) or Friday (14th).
It's reg was H174HKL.
It was a white mk2 with a larger Acerbis tank with a couple of D&D graphics.
It had a DEP front pipe ...

Re: project
someone at work has got one of these in a similar state to your top photo which we'd toyed with doing that same as you, how long did it take? how easy was it to source parts?

Re: exhaust leak...looking for the gasket
The tail pipe is genuine Honda, the part number appears to be HM KAE K3, and the down pipe is a DEP. Lucky whilst rummaging around some of the spares i inherited with the bike we found an old (the original?) rubber connector that sleeves over the two pipes so i'm going to stick that on for a bit ...

Re: exhaust leak...looking for the gasket
i know that my front end is a DEP and i'm assuming that the tail pipe is the original (my bike was given to me as a bit of a mongrel so i'm still working out which bits are original and which are aftermarket).
I'll take a couple of photos tonight or tomorrow and post them up but something like that ...

Re: exhaust leak...looking for the gasket
i seem to be leaking between the two exhaust units (where the exhausts join just above my right ankle when on the bike). the spline-type things look a bit tired and the jubilee clips are done up pretty tight, do you think using heat proof sealant would work there too?

Re: my 'project'
first ride out = motocross practice day in april = two broken ankles (one in the morning session and one in the afternoon, naturally  ). which means that the poor thing has been stuck in a garage all summer so i decided to spend my time getting it roadworthy and it passed it's MOT yesterday ...

Re: Seat Height
mine seems exceptionally high at the moment, easily as high as a stock rm250 i rode last year which was tip toe territory at best. i wonder if someone has previously raised mine and now i just need to return it to the 'stock' settings. either way, hopefully, my old man is going to knock up a few ...

Re: my 'project'
It's a bike not a submarine  . Looks like it was test run in a cess pit :!: .
it was hard to even tell where it had all come in from because the whole thing was so covered in it. the crank was also swimming in a few litres of gunky 'oil'. safe to say i've learnt a fair bit about the ...
