Today it is 27 degrees and it has not rained since January 2007, the majority of bikes here are 4 bangers or even worsethey are harley davidson's.
The desert is 'the desert' and it ...

big puddles

no bike swallowing puddles but wadi's up in the mountains (dry river beds ) that flood very quickly with a wall of water usaully taking people camping, 4x4's and ramblers with it. :)
The biggest problem is the heat as it gets to 130+ in the summer and you soon shrivel up and die if your bike goes ...

Not yet, but looking around, everything seems to be crf's, xr's or ktm 4 strokes. :|
The roads here are lethal in a car and a life shortener on a bike so on road action will be minimal. :o
Hoping to find some local enduro dealers soon but i guess they wont be as helpfull as the boys at LT.
Only 2 ...

From Northants to Dubai

Greetings fellow CRM'rs

Not a new member but trying to find out if any other owners are living in the UAE specifically in Dubai.
There seems to be quite a few moto cross tracks and organised desert trips avaliable but finding how to join them seems a little harder.
Any information would be greatly ...

Hi billy,
Are you putting oil into the frame or the engine ??
Most CRM oil tanks are in the frame, check that you are not filling up the gearbox oil which could be a very costly mistake.

Odd

Hi Ed
This is an odd ritual but that is why we all love crm's (they are all different and have their own ways) :lo.

this does ...

100 +

Hi Rufus,
You are reading the speeds correctly. I often travel at 100MPH+ and have had no problems (except for an unmarked pan european police bike) the only draw back is that after an hour or so your arms begin to ache as you are constantly in the wind. :x
I have also fitted 21 inch full road ...

Oh bugger

When i got excited and snapped off my bolt :o !!. I drilled the (week one) out and installed a length of threaded bar with thread lock on the end.
I went inside and relaxed for a while , had a beer and went back out to reassemble the unit 8) .
It fitted and has been spot on ever since
Be prepared to ...
