Oil leak from gearbox output shaft
Hi Chaps,
I have an oil leak from the gearbox output shaft and I have already replaced the seal. As soon as I ran the bike and parked it up the leak was back!
Am I just unlucky and should I try another new seal?
Is there a trick to fitting the seal?
Is it something more sinister?
Any help would ...

Re: Rear Brake has no pressure
If LT put sensible mark ups on the bits they'd probably sell twice as much than before and might pick up XR and CR users as well. Mind you lower margins and twice the effort .... maybe not!

Re: Rear Brake has no pressure
Hi Chaps,
I've managed to find one off an AR that (as you might expect) fits.
The £46 for a seal kit is too steep really, otherwise I would have bought the kit - my fix cost £20 + p&p for the whole lot.
If the kit is the same as the XR, CR or another Honda why do LT continue to mark them up so ...

Re: Rear Brake has no pressure
I was out on the trail and eventually the back brake stopped working - i can see no leaks at all!
If I pump the pedal I can get a bit of pressure but by applying a nominal amount of force the lever slowly goes down and reaches its full travel. It seems like something is leaking past the piston ...

Rear Brake has no pressure
Hi Everyone,
My rear brake doesn't seem to want to work no matter how much I bleed it!
It's almost as if the seals have gone in the piston attached to the rear brake lever/pedal.
Does anyone have a diagram or has anyone come across this before?
Thanks,
Westy

MK2 speedo drive
Hi everyone, is there an alternative model I can buy a speedo drive for to fit my MK2? (the black unit by the front wheel)
Maybe one for an XR will fit?
They seem very expensive from LT
If not does anyone have one for sale please, mine was smashed by a rock yesterday!

Re: Crank case seals ......
Interesting, mine is stock apart from a DEP pipe!
I wish I could find someone with a standard Mk2 carb spare, I'd drop that on it and see what happens.
hmmmmm ..... off to the for sale / wanted board I think
So, if it is crank seals I've got to split the engine then?

Crank case seals ......
Hi Chaps,
I still have had some problems with my 92 Mk2 being slow to drop the revs (not a problem at rest when blipping the throttle, but it appears after riding it for a distance on full'ish throttle - say a mile or 2). The bike had been stood for a long period (at least a year in a shed) when I ...

Re: My first CRM - 91 Mk2 :)
Thanks guys, i'll get onto it tomorrow.
I also believe that it is something weakening the mixture. It seems to happen most after a 'full throttle' experience, so I'm going to check the float height to make sure the engine isn't using more fuel than the carb is letting through (I'll also check that ...

My first CRM - 91 Mk2 :)
Hi everyone I've just bought a 91 Mk2 and I'm happy with it apart from the fact it seems to take a moment for the revs to drop after throttling off (when it's warm) - does anyone have any ideas please?
Otherwise it's in really good nick and runs fine - I can't wait to get it on the trail.
